So I couldn’t really come up with anything clever to say regarding this entire list of OC characters…because Strum did it in a way that if I call him out on being an asshole, I have to except the fact that the list is indeed a list of “bad” OC’s…which I suppose is kind of clever on his part, because if it’s not a list of bad OCs, then what harm is there in listing a bunch of tumblrs. Regardless of what it was intended to be, I have to admit that in my unholy opinion not all the tumblrs featured on his list where “good” , and I’m sure that’s why he posted them. Now I don’t mind a good joke…I love good jokes, but this isn’t the sort of joke that everyone can laugh along with. We’re laughing at THEM, and it’s shitty to get laughed at, especially by the community you’re in. Yes, some of them are pretty “funny” and are indeed of some “aide”…but really, ridicule? We’re going to ridicule people because they cannot meet the communitys’ “standard” of OCs does and don’ts? Well I wasn’t aware there was standards, and whoever thinks they’re important enough to stand up and say this is how you should make your OC they can shove an orange right up there ass because who the fuck do they think they are? I don’t care if you make an OC that is a one-eyed one-horned flying purple people eating pony with control over the moon, it’s not in my power to tell you what to do nor is it in anyone else’s hands. I can certainly have my opinions, I can share my opinions in a way that doesn’t make me a total ass too, but I am not going to judge you poorly because you let your imagination run a little too wild. So how dare anyone judge someone for something they made, imagine that you were in art class and you made a painting of an apple, and decided that you were going to paint it purple because it would look cool. After you were done everyone laughed at you and called it stupid because it was different. You’d feel pretty shitty, and I am sure laughing at other people’s OC’s doesn’t have that immediate effect of laughing at someone in IRL because you can’t see them, but I assure you, it has the same effect.
